This warms my heart Ana. I’m not a mother yet myself but I have often wondered, worried and prayed about living a life that works in tandem with God, without the burnout, that motherhood can bring.
Making work bend around the demands of being a mother, rather than running ragged in a 9-5.
That’s a dream of mine.
Your words really calmed something in me. They remind me that with God, not only is He there in the mess and we can praise Him doing the dishes and other snatched moments of stillness.✨❤️
It’s not perfect, but God in his grace gives us his supernatural strength to keep going.❤️
Motherhood has stretched me in ways I never imagined, but it’s also shown me how present God truly is in the ordinary. I still have moments of overwhelm (plenty of them!), but like you said so beautifully, His grace is where we draw strength.
And yes, building a life that bends around motherhood instead of burning out under pressure is so possible. Keep praying into that dream. I really believe God honors that desire, and He’ll guide you toward it in His time. Sending love your way!
I love this! These are really great reminders that I need to remember too. We have to make sure we’re filling all our buckets and try to maintain a good balance. Life can get pretty overwhelming fast if we deplete one. Thank you for sharing these with us, Ana!
Thank you so much! I totally agree, it’s so easy to focus on just one area and forget the rest until everything feels out of balance. I’m constantly reminding myself of this too. We’re all works in progress, just trying to pour from a full (or at least not empty!) cup. I’m glad it resonated with you!
Woah - ‘not always crafts and calm voices’ resonated very deeply! I am a mother of two and have worked full time for 22 years. I felt this post very personally - thank you for writing. 🤗
Thanks for sharing this. That line came straight from lived experience! Motherhood is beautiful, but it’s also loud, messy, and relentless sometimes. Sending you so much respect for holding all of it while working full time for so many years. You’re incredible!
